Dicentra eximina - Wild Bleedingheart

Also called Fringed Bleedingheart, this one is a spring beauty. Pink heart-shaped flowers hang from arching stems above fern-like foliage. The blooms can continue into the summer, but as it gets hot, it’s really the green leaves that keep your garden looking lush. If it likes where it is and the area isn’t super dry, blooms will return as a gift to you and the hummingbirds and long-tongued bees later in the season.
This is a lovely complement to foam flowers, ferns, geraniums and other shade garden plants.
Height: 1’
Blooms: Pink, Spring
