Wild Pink – Silene carolina

A pretty little low-growing wildflower that makes a great perennial border plant or accent in rocky areas. Wild pink (Silene caroliniana) nectar feeds native bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and nocturnal moths. You’ll see the little pink flowers emerge in spring, and last all summer long and even into the fall. If you like carnations and sweet williams, this is the native equivalent.
