Description
Common Milkweed, the host plant for Monarch butterflies, fragrant clusters of purplish-pink flowers attract and benefit butterflies, native bees, bumblebees, and honeybees. It’s also the host plant for Monarch butterflies, and it’s a joy to witness the full life cycle from the egg through butterfly stage. This New Jersey native is one of the easiest and fastest milkweeds to establish, and will spread.
At our first sale ever, we sold out of the Common Milkweed even though there was literally nothing to show but a pot of dirt. That’s how critical (and beautiful) these rock stars of the eco-friendly gardening world are.
